FIRST PUBLISHED: May 26, 2012

SUMMARY: What if, at the Graveyard, Voldemort's speech was a bit different?

The thin man stepped out of the cauldron, staring at Harry…and Harry stared back at the face that had haunted his nightmares for three years. Whiter than a skull, with wide, livid scarlet eyes and a nose that was flat as a snake's with slits for nostrils…

Lord Voldemort had risen again.

"Harry," he said in his high, cold voice, "I am your father."

Harry shook his head. "You can't be," he said finally.

The man smiled. "And why not?" he hissed.

"Because I look nothing like you."

Lord Voldemort had risen again.

"Harry," he said in his high, cold voice, "I am your father."

"Really?" Harry asked. "Well, you're not a very good one. You killed my mother, and James, who treated me like a son even if I wasn't really his, and you tried to kill ME as well!"

"Join me Harry," Voldemort said.

"No way!" Harry said.

Lord Voldemort had risen again.

"Harry," he said in his high, cold voice, "I am your father."

"Oh?" Harry said after awhile, looking around. "Nice graveyard by the way."

Harry fainted.

"Well that was unexpected," Lord Voldemort mused, as Darth Vader stepped out of the shadows.

"I…told…you…" he wheezed, breathing harshly through his mask. "Gets…them…every…time!"
