oOo
The night is black, and the wind screams, then dies. Eyes shine in the night. Sound stops. I see glowing red, and time…
slows… down. There is no time to wonder, but it looks so real, its body black. It is glowing in the darkness, the wind has stilled but the fog has crept up, drowning all sound. Eyes.
It comes straight out of a nightmare, and it is there, but impossible. My eyes are betraying me, for the first time I cannot trust my senses, and I am afraid. There is no sound, everything is black and there is no wind. The moon is glowing
somewhere far off; glowing, but down here all is darkness, the only light that of the creature's red eyes. I hear a voice carried on the wind, a voice that brings me back to reality, that breaks this impossible moment in which time stopped. Out of the black dark comes a figure, the sound
of his voice calling my name, worried. With the sound comes a reprieve from the madness of this impossibility. I turn away from the glowing black hound, turn and look into the eyes of someone who is undoubtedly real, and at this time there could be nothing more precious. The wind
blows out of the hollow, and the trees whip in the wind. there is no sound, not yet; everyone, for a time, lost in our own thoughts. The torch lights the air with a glowing that does not shatter reality. I close my eyes. In the black
of night, for a time, I can listen to the wind, forget the black creature, listen to every sound, stop thinking of glowing eyes.
